Who Needs Core Strengthening?
Absolutely everyone can benefit from some sort of Core Strengthening. To start, let me define what the "Core" of the body is. Most people think of the core as just being the abdominal musculature. I consider the "Core" so much more. Think of the core as the section of your body between your knees and chest. This includes your hips, thighs, buttocks, pelvic, abdominal and back muscles. So just doing crunches does not make for a strong or balanced core. 

A strong core has both strength and balance, To have strong abs is great but if the opposing muscles of the back are not equally as strong there will be an imbalance and musculoskeletal problems will arise. To have a strong and balanced core, the front and backs of the thighs, as well as the buttocks, inner and outer thighs, along with the abs and back must be properly trained.

Having a strong and balanced core has many benefits. Among these benefits are decreased injuries, less back pain, improved posture, better breathing, improved athletic performance, improved balance, and easier movement during daily activities.
